The Joy Journaling Adventure will begin with choosing a beautifully themed kit of mixed media to decorate your journals with. What's Mixed Media? Mixed media can include a variety of printed papers, tickets, labels, tags, vintage items, buttons, lace, keys, bling, silk flowers, etc... Samples will be available to give you ideas on how to decorate your journal, but the fun is throwing it together any way YOU CHOOSE!

Now for the inside of your new journals...

Journaling prompts will be provided to help you get the most out of your personal journaling time. You can pick a theme of writing prompts such as Gratitudes or Just Get Sh!t Done or go with your own creative writing & doodling, YOU CHOOSE!

The Nature Selfie Portrait Adventure will include some nature time at Kimberly Creek Retreat! Whether you choose to snap your selfies on the cabin deck of Pete's Place or along the wooded landscape by the creek you will enjoy the breathtaking views!

Refreshments will be servedwhile we print your selected portrait pose.

Crafting and camaraderie will commence when you prepare your mini wooden easel by painting or staining it. You will have many background choices on which to mount your portrait and embellishments to make it your very own creative keepsake. Come in your comfy clothes and keep in mind you will be handling a combination of paint, stain, mod podge and glue guns, so we don't want you to ruin anything fancy!

The Chit Chat & Chalk Couture Adventure will be a fun introduction to Chalk Couture. You will learn how to:

Prepare both a wood & glass surface for chalking
Fuzz & place the transfer designs of your choice on both a wood block and glass vase
Apply the creamy Chalk Couture Paste on wood
Apply the creamy Chalk Couture Ink on glass

Extra creative touches such as painting with lace, using embellishments and preserving your designs will also be covered in this fun relaxing Chalk Couture Adventure. No special crafting or art skills required, just Chit Chat with your new friends and Chalk away! You will take home a fun summer quote block and a walk around Kimberly Creek Retreat will give you an opportunity to pick something for your new vase to take home!

NOON Monday, June 14th, 2021 is the registration DEADLINE for our Summer Adventure Series happening at Kimberly Creek Retreat near Ashland, Nebraska! Join us for one, two or ALL three of these Adventures in KCR's beautiful gathering cabin known as Pete's Place!
Thursday, April 17th. 6:00 pm - Joy Journaling Adventure $50
Friday, April 18th - 6:00 pm - Nature Selfie Portrait Adventure $50
Saturday, April 19th - 10:00 am - Chit Chat & Chalk Couture Adventure $65
Due to limited seating and proper planning for art kits & refreshments, please secure tickets for everyone in your party by NOON Monday, June 14th.
